Only at msbb : Roses are starting to bloom at Sa Bassa Blanca Museum (msbb)
Thousands of roses will be blooming in successive fragrant waves from the end of April till mid-June, offering a unique experience both visual and olfactory. Colours range from the deepest sumptuous crimson of “Empereur du Maroc” or “Guinée” to the palest pastel pink of “Celsiana” or “Blush Damask” and fragrances varying from the subtle green apple scent of “Briar Stanwell Perpetual” to the unexpected myrrh perfume of “Cymbeline”.
Until June, over 100 varieties of Old and English roses will blossom in the Sa Bassa Blanca garden that was inspired by the “Hortus Conclusus” –a medieval monastery garden– where monks and nuns used to grow herbs and plants for medicinal purposes. Sheltered by their walls and pergola, the old roses varieties thrive in this protected environment.
Walking through this unique garden is a special experience for all senses.
